Introducing Marie Alexander

Marie Alexander is the cinematic indie pop project of Sarah Marie Picard and Noah Alexander—born from a shared love of emotionally driven songwriting, atmospheric production, and visual storytelling.

At its center is a simple idea: a song doesn’t have to end with the music.

Drawing from Sarah’s background as a dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist alongside Noah’s work as a songwriter, producer, and engineer, Marie Alexander brings those creative worlds together. Songs begin in the studio, but the stories are free to expand through movement, film, photography, and performance.

Much of the project’s music is written and recorded at Parsonics Studio in Santa Barbara, where Noah has spent more than a decade working alongside legendary producer and artist Alan Parsons. That environment, combined with Sarah’s movement and visual background, has helped shape a sound and creative identity rooted equally in the sonic and the visual.

The songs explore the quieter moments that change us—the patterns we outgrow, the things we hold onto, the ways we lose and rediscover ourselves, and the courage it takes to begin again.

Every release is an invitation to step a little further inside that world.
